   For Now     is an original music project led by vocalist/composer Isabel Crespo. In their music, they blend modern jazz harmony, poetic lyrics, and melodies reminiscent of classical counterpoint to create a unique and honest sound. For Now is a versatile ensemble that fluctuates between intimate ballads, protest music, and up-tempo groove-based compositions. They released their first album in Spring 2018, and will be recording a new album in Winter 2018.

   The Chewing Surface   is an international (US/Argentina/Norway) experimental jazz trio featuring Isabel Crespo on vocals and some compositions. They will be releasing their debut album in 2019.

 In 2013, Robert Trusko built one of Candy Chang's Before I Die walls, a public art project meant to honor life. Trusko composed a 20-minute piece featuring phrases he collected from this wall, and invited Crespo to perform and record the project.
