desbordándome (2022) is an evening length embroidered graphic score composed by Isabel Crespo Pardo for their trio featuring Lester St. Louis on cello and Henry Fraser on bass. Through this large-scale work, the trio explores themes of change, interconnectedness, and failure, as well as the expressive and sonic potential of words. The piece features distinct vignettes with instructions represented via color and shape, poetry by crespo, and slowly shifting chorale. This work was created as part of their 2022 Van Lier Fellowship and premiered at Roulette Intermedium (Brooklyn, NY) on June 7, 2022.
